They are undefeated with three straight victories and kept an unlucky Wrecksavers outfit winless at the bottom of the table.
Loopers started the better, going out to leads of 4-0 and 6-2. Wrecksavers narrowed the gap to be down by two at 11-9 at the completion of the singles and it was still anyone’s match. Wrecksavers won a tight first doubles 2-0 to lock it up at 11-all, leaving the second doubles as the decider.
The teams split two close games before Loopers scraped home 11-9 in the third to finish victors, 13-12.
Loopers put together a good team effort, with Michael Wood returning 4-2, Kelly Gurney 5-3 and Sharnie Roberts 2-4.
Matt Kappos (6-1) almost got his Wrecksavers side home, while Dave Mays went 3-4 and Peter Jaccoud, after some recent consistent form, crashed to earth with 0-6.
The match between Grippers and Spinners followed a similar path. Grippers jumped away to a quick 4-0 lead before Spinners came back to trail only 5-4.
Neither team could gain a winning break but going into the doubles Grippers held the upper hand at 11-9. They put the match to bed by winning the first doubles 2-1 and claimed the second 2-0 for good measure to take the match 15-10.
