Mr Bones' charity Survivors Ink now can provide its free service to almost every state and territory in Australia, over the next 12 months.

Survivors Ink is a not for profit charity organisation, dedicated to providing breast cancer survivors with the free tattooing service, Australia wide and is currently seeking support from Oncology Departments, Hospitals, Tattoo Studios and Medical Facilities to help complete the national tour.

Mr Bone said he was seeking public and corporate support to assist with the ongoing costs associated with the national tour.

“We are changing people’s lives forever, with the gift of a simple tattoo.”

Mr Bone said he had had reports of plastic surgeons charging up to $5000 for a realistic nipple tattooing procedure.

“Unfortunately, cancer doesn’t stop affecting lives at the completion of treatment. So many breast cancer survivors and their loved ones continue to experience both financial and emotional hardship as a result of their unfortunate collision with cancer,” he said.

“At Survivor’s Ink, we acknowledge and respect the magnitude of issues that a person must face in the recovery phase of breast cancer.

“One avenue of recovery in which we can make a difference is the completion phase of reconstructive surgery. After surgery, most women are left without nipples, and in place of this, may have traumatic scars, in which they must face each day. Cosmetic tattooing offers women the chance to complete their reconstructive journey. Sadly, many survivors are unable to consider cosmetic tattooing and sometimes the reconstructive surgery altogether, due to the exorbitant costs associated.

“We aim to provide realistic nipple tattooing to all Australians affected by breast cancer and aid in their physical and emotional recovery, free of charge.”

Survivors Ink is the charity division of Tatts On Tatts Off Pty Ltd and is fully insured and licenced to conduct its service.
