Carpet One Cup highlights footy sportsmanship between teams

Lithgow Storm junior rugby league players contested the Carpet One Cup for the fourth year on Saturday, August 4.

Every year the inaugural cup is sponsored by Carpet One, Professionals Lithgow and GB Building to allow kids in non-competitive rugby league to get a taste of what the competitive game is like.

All three junior teams took on the higher ranked Orange Bloomfield Tigers teams and despite trying their best they weren’t able to take a win.

The under 10’s had a close match, only losing out by eight points, going down 30-22 against the top ranked Bloomfield side.

The under 11’s had a hard game against the Tigers being defeated 42 to 10.
