The eastern team was made up of players from the Bears, Blackheath and Kandos and played against players from the West that involved Portland, CSU and Orange.
The All Stars game was arranged due to the short season being only 10 rounds and gave a chance for each club to socially interact with one another.
Unfortunately only 21 players could be picked to represent each team. To make it fair amongst each club, a minimum of five to six players could play.

The Bears Rugby League representatives consisted of: Jacob Monaghan, Blake Collins, Kaleb Richey, Ryan Bilby, Joel Cameron and Peter Lewis. Although the boys were with the grand final winners Blackheath, the Bears boys mixed in well and played positions that were different to what they are used to. It was a tough competition with a lot of competitive and strong players.
The eastern team was beaten by the West. Ryan managed to score a centre position and played for majority of the game and even just short of the line from scoring a try. Kaleb undertook some massive hit ups and managed to score some penalties.
Blake, Joel, Jacob and Peter all tried hard throughout the game and was very valuable to the team.
The Bears league tag representatives consisted of Latia Hardie, Emma Smith, Monique Millmore, Katie Jeffery and Marli-Jai Hydee.
The game was extended to be played for 80 minutes; an additional 40 minutes to a normal game. This was to allow each player to have a fair opportunity on the field.
The starting line-up consisted of three Bears players on the field with Latia kicking off for the start of the game and Monque kicking a conversion for one of the eastern tries.
One of Latia’s kick-offs even forced a penalty to the eastern team. Katie, Emma and Marli were all in good positions to have some runs of the ball and undertook amazing tags.
Unfortunately both eastern sides went down to the western team. The game was a learning experience for all involved and all players should be congratulated for their efforts. The Bears club are proud of the Bears representatives and hope that they had fun in the process.
