Panthers, currently sitting in second spot on the Central West competition ladder, is aiming to keep the momentum going.
“We’ve got Pat’s and City in the next two weeks, so they’re probably going to be the two vital games for us to keep in the top three,” Marshall said.
“It would be nice to win both of those.”
Lithgow Zig Zag coach Heath Luck said it was clear the Panthers would be hard to beat.
“We played a very good team today. They have a lot of depth. They’re a very big squad and they have a very good mix from the old, steady players to the young, up-and-coming players. So it was always going to be a challenge,” he said.
“With my guys, I asked for consistency today and I think they showed that from the week before.”
Luck said Zig Zag, which was in a rebuilding phase, had struggled to find a core base of players to build the team around
“We’re getting there. It’s a work in progress,” he said.
“Our centre half Kate Young was our best player today. She’s always very solid... And she had a big job controlling those younger strikers in the middle.”
