The Lithgow Lazers under 14 boys have made it through to the Country Championship League after travelling to Niagara Park for the Country tournament.

They were playing to qualify for the next stage in NSW Country basketball; the Country Championship League.
Lithgow Basketball chair Richard Marjoram said the boys had a solid weekend playing against other hard country teams.
The boys had a great weekend playing against some very strong country division teams.

“Their teamwork and commitment continually improved throughout the weekend,” he said.
The qualifying decider match was a nail-biting final game but the boys pushed through, winning 57-52.
The boys will now compete in the Country Championship League over three weekends in July and August against the top eight teams in NSW Country Basketball.
The under 14’s team has had a strong tournament thus far, sitting on the top of the ladder.
