A General Meeting was held recently to set the ground work for the upcoming John Zorz Trophy competition. The same six teams have nominated to play and this competition is closest to your handicap and will be over three rounds comprising 15 games. There will no games on Melbourne Cup day the Major and Minor Semi-Final will be held on Wednesday 07/11 instead. The fees remain the same of $30 and have to be paid by October 9 and a letter will be sent out to team captains to remind all players of their responsibility regarding of payment of fees. The LASA welcome all returning players and unfortunately a couple of players have decided to have a rest but we welcome back two or three players that used to play. The LASA has also picked up some new players and welcome them to the competition. Anyone that is interested in playing snooker please attend either Club Lithgow or The Workies on a Tuesday night and any snooker player will point you in the direction of a committee person who will answer any of your enquiries.
