The man was cutting firewood when a large branch fell and hit him resulting in major head injuries.
The man was airlifted by air ambulance to Westmead Hospital on Saturday, July 7 at 9am but died in hospital overnight due to his injuries.
Single vehicle crash
A 43-year-old woman was taken to Lithgow hospital suffering minor injuries after crashing her car on Jenolan Caves Road.
Lithgow ambulance attended the scene on Thursday morning, July 5 to find a single car crash. Only the driver sought medical attention.
