Two Lithgow High School students participated in the 2018 State Shakespeare Carnival on Sunday, July 1, run by Jove Theatre.

The Shakespeare carnival gives high school students across NSW the chance to creatively engage with Shakespeare’s work through acting, dancing, music and design. Categories including duologues, music, short films and group devised pieces were engagingly performed by various schools across the state.
There were many great prizes up for grabs, including scholarships and the chance the attend various workshops.
Milo Michel and Ashley Berg of Lithgow High School performed a duologue resembling Macbeth and Lady Macbeth at the annual event. Although they did not win, the two students did extremely well just to reach the State level, after proceeding through two other difficult stages of competition.
