This will allow vehicle and pedestrian traffic to return to normal on Main Street and Eskbank Street.
The construction contractor will remain on-site into July while final landscaping works are undertaken.
This includes the installation of the overhead lighting system and trellis walls in Cook Street Plaza as well as soft landscape planting and establishment.
In January, council stated the expected completion date would be in April. According to a timeline update on March 12, the works were to be completed by the second week of June. That has been updated again so that total completion is some time in mid July.
The project has been ongoing since November 2017. Road closures and parking have been ongoing issues for businesses.
