The Gorrie Ban group was mesmerised by the Willy Wagtail girl dancers and the boys Yidaki (didgeridoo) group.
Tegan Jeffery delivered the acknowledgement and Taylor Zorz read out the meaning of NAIDOC.
This year the school is celebrating all strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, with the theme ‘Because of Her we Can’.

Lily-Jane Martin introduced the dancers and Sharnesha Gatt explained the meaning of the dance.
The girls performed three dances and the boys Yidaki Group entertained with some fantastic animal noises played on their Yidaki.
Students, along with Uncle Owen, went around and shared conversations with the patrons of Gorrie Ban. The boys showed them their Yidaki and all their beautiful designs.
