Woman airlifted from Newnes after being struck by falling branch
A woman was airlifted to Westmead hospital after suffering from a head injury at Newnes on Sunday, June 17.

The woman, who was participating in the Glowworm Tunnel trail running event, was struck by a falling branch. A Ambulance NSW spokesperson said the 51-year-old suffered significant lacerations to her skull.
She was airlifted directly from the site to Westmead Hospital for treatment and is understood to be in a stable condition.
