After years of coming second, the boys claimed victories over Molong (14-8) and Milthorpe (8-5).
They went on to defeat the illustrious and illusive Bletchington Public School (20-8) in the final.
Superior batting, fielding, base running, pitching and catching were the name of the day as the boys ground out victory.
The boys have been training hard since early in term one under the guidance of Miss Roberts, Miss McConnell and Scott Achurch, who led the boys home to victory.
Cooerwull Public School thanked them for their efforts, as well as the support of the wonderful parents, who didn’t dare miss the excitement (watching from their cars). Thanks to Jack Curran, bat boy, and Mrs Foster who scored and supervised superbly.
