It’s the start of what is predicted to be an extremely cold weekend, featuring wind, showers and possibly snow.
Snow could fall down to 600m on Sunday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
The maximum temperature for Sunday is expected to be 6 degrees with overnight lows of -1 to -3.
Snow down to 800m could is predicted for Saturday, with a maximum temperature expected to reach 9 degrees after an overnight low of 1. Snow has also been forecast for Orange, Blayney and Oberon.

Weather warning
Lithgow and Blue Mountains State Emergency Service units have issued warnings relating to this weekend’s weather.
“We recommend if you are planning a bush walk or camping to reconsider the cold weather and high winds and maybe plan another time for outdoor activities,” the Blue Mountains unit stated.
“As the winds will increase Friday, we recommend you secure any outdoor furniture, garden tools and toys.”
The Lithgow SES unit took to Facebook to urge motorists to drive carefully and to the conditions at all times.
“Due to potential snow and ice on the roads people are reminded to slow down and drive to road conditions,” the page stated.
