Live traffic NSW says that travellers should allow for extra travel time if heading towards Lithgow.
According to one resident currently stuck in the jam, he turned onto the Great Western Highway from Wallerawang and was immediately caught up. He attributed the congestion to road works, which see two lanes converge into one.
Live Traffic put up a heavy traffic alert on its website this afternoon, Monday June 11, for ‘heavy holiday traffic’.
