Featured at the concert for the first time will be violinist Morgan Watt.
Morgan Watt’s love for playing violin was recently recognised with a $620 scholarship to play with the Lithgow City Orchestra.
Morgan, 14, is the youngest member of the orchestra, which is about to join the Lithgow City Band in concert.
The concert, From Glenn Miller to Mozart, will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 2pm at the Cooerwull School Hall. All are welcome to attend.
Lithgow City Band’s Don White was excited for the collaboration, which would showcase the talents of the two groups.
“This is the first time in my experience that we’ve combined,” he said.
“We will be playing our own program and also coming together to play a few pieces, including Jupiter’s Theme and Beyond the Sea.”
Tickets, $10 a head and $5 concession, will be on sale at the door.
