Hartley District Progress Association’s third annual ‘Long Lunch’ unfolded on the school grounds with a record attendance of 150 people coming to enjoy lunch at communal tables. There was a bonfire and live band to boot.
The spread was put on by Association volunteers, with all funds raised going towards improving the site’s facilities.
President of the association, Renzo Benedet, said the group is hoping to upgrade the old tennis court on the site into an all-round sports facility for Hartley residents.
Improvements to the school’s hall were completed using money made from the previous Long Lunch.
