“We wish to clarify that it was not this sub-branch who has been fundraising; it was an organisation called the RSL Art Union,” the statement, issued by Honorary Secretary Michael Cuthbert, said.
“The RSL Art Union does not belong to NSW RSL...
“We do understand that it can be quite confusing to people and we just wish to make it known that when you see those stalls it is RSL Queensland running them and neither RSL NSW or this sub-branch receive any funds from it.”
Mr Cuthbert can be contacted on 6351 2498 during office hours Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 10am-2pm, or at rslhouse@bigpond.com.
