A man has been airlifted from Lithgow Hospital for treatment to chest injuries after an incident at Lake Lyell on Friday afternoon, May 25.
The 35-year-old’s condition was reported to be stable.
It is believed he was injured when the brake failed on a vehicle as a boat was being launched at the lake. The man was run over, sustaining chest injuries and lacerations to his limbs.
Three ambulance units and the helicopter were called in at about 1.15pm.

A man has been taken to Lithgow Hospital suffering a chest injury and lacerations to his arms and legs after an incident at Lake Lyell.
Paramedics were called to the scene at about 1.15pm.
Three units responded and the man was found with injuries to his chest, legs and arms.
A spokesperson at Ambulance State Headquarters said it appeared the man, estimated to be 35 years old, had been run over by a car while a boat was being launched.
He was taken to Lithgow Hospital by road ambulance and may be airlifted for further treatment.
Man airlifted after crash
A 50-year-old Seven Hills man was airlifted from Lithgow on Sunday, May 20 after a motorbike crash at Forty Bends.
The man suffered shoulder, leg and back injuries after hitting a concrete barrier on the new section of the Great Western Highway at Forty Bends at about 12.20pm.
He was taken to Lithgow Hospital by ambulance before being flown to Westmead Hospital for further treatment.
