Reginald Roberts, Steven Sherriff and Bill Mayne are each charged with attempted possession of a commercial quality of a controlled drug, while Roberts and Sherriff are also charged with attempted importation.
In Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday, defence counsel said they had not yet received the full file relating to the case but had been made aware 80 witness statements were among the materials.
At the time of the seizure in February police said the drugs, the largest ice shipment destined for SA, were intercepted in crane jibs being imported by cargo ship.
The ice, which had an estimated street value of $270 million, was found in 313 bags.
The case against the three men will return to court for a further declarations hearing on June 6.
