Three brave knights lined up to test themselves at the Tourney Ground at Tony Luchetti Sportsground on Saturday.
Organisers are expecting up to 20,000 people through the gates over the two days of Ironfest and most of those who attended the first day waited for the jousting, which was held at the end of the day.

The competitors use lances with a balsa wood tip, which breaks easily and looks spectacular, but reduces the risk of injury to riders and horses.
Sir Tony and Sir Andrew Beattie, a regular winner at Ironfest, went first with a fairly contest before Sir Andrew and Sir Darrell Bossley faced off, Sir Andrew coming out ahead in that one.
Finally Sir Tony and Sir Darrell meeting and it was Sir Tony who was able to strike more blows. He scored a total of 10 points ahead of Sir Andrew on seven and Sir Darrell, who was scoreless.
Sir Darrell explained after the tournament had concluded he had brought a young horse, who was participating in its first tournament. The horse still needed a lot of controlling, which made it difficult for the knight to use his lance.
