With the them of this year’s Ironfest the Wild West, organisers of the Ball will transform the Lithgow Workies Club into the Iron Fist Saloon for a fun-filled evening.
Organisers Sally Kelland and Joanne van Raaphorst are delighted with how preparations are coming along but they are urging people to get soon to get their tickets.
“We still have tickets left and we know people are eager to come along but we don’t want them to leave it until the last minute,” Ms Kelland said.
“We have to get numbers to our chef for food preparation so we need to give final numbers soon.”
A fabulous three-course Southwest style meal will be served and the ever popular 'Sideshow Annie' will be providing their own brand of raunchy rock 'n roll to get everyone up and dancing.
Entertainment will be provided in the form of a Saloon Girl dance performance by the engaging 'Dance Like A Diva', which includes the recent winner of Miss Burlesque Idol Sydney, Turquoise D'lite.
There will be a Honky Tonk piano player, who will play requests for whisky, a small costume competition and a professional poker player/magician who will have a Mississippi Riverboat Gambler style setup, showing tricks and tips throughout the evening.
One of the big attractions for the night is the recruitment of Dean Haglund as the special guest MC. Mr Haglund is best known for his role as ‘Ringo’ Langly, one of The Lone Gunmen on the X-Files.
Sideshow Annie did the first ball and were popular so people are excited they are performing again.

“He’s actually a friend of mine. I met him after he moved to Australia and I have been trying to get him to come to Ironfest because I know how much he would love it,” Ms Kelland said.
“I asked him to be MC and he said yes. He’s really excited about it. He’ll attend Ironfest and get a feel for it and base some of his stand-up around that.
“It’s also great to have Sideshow Annie back. They did the first ball and were popular so people are excited they will performing again.”
There will also be the chance for people to have their photo taken by professional photographer Kate Gluski in an authentic-looking wild west bordello setup and purchase the photos.
Tickets are $80 and can be purchased at www.outix.net/tickets/event/ironfest-ball.
