Over the past seven years Lithgow have pitted against Bathurst as the universities have a great rapport and this year Notre Dame came out on top.
The annual university challenge is designed to enhance teamwork skills and create friendships.
“Our mission is to give medical students from different Universities a chance to meet and form friendships, so often they will meet again, down the training track,” Lithgow Clinical School student coordinator Chrissie Thompson said.
The winning team were presented with trophies by Professor Dr John Dearin at an award ceremony.
“It’s the ‘jam jar ashes’ literally, a large jar with men of war pulling a rubber band on top, all painted with gold paint,” Ms Thompson said.
