“It’s been a great season of cricket, and it’s even better that we had three teams take out three different grades,” Club president Danny Whitty said.
Whitty said that he would like to see more players join the club but understands that work and family commitments come first.
Lithgow Hotel were recognised as the premiers and minor premiers of first grade while La Salle Hornets were recognised as the premiers and minor premiers in second grade. The third grade plate was awarded to Valley.
In first grade Brandon Horner was named as the best batsman of the season with his average of 95.67 and Aron Crowder of Valley took out the honour for best bowler with an average of 10.17.
In second grade David Glasson of the La Salle Hornets was given the title of the best batsman for an average of 247.00 while Blake Caldwell was recognised as the best bowler for 7.91.
The Richard/Lemcke award for the best individual batting performance was given to Portland’s Chris Hann for his 159 not out.
The inaugural Jeremy Fittler award for the season’s best bowling performance went to Mohammed Naize for his performance of 7.3.
