The Richo Cup was tightly contested as round one kicked off with Wallerawang 1 winning against Cooerwull 28-16; Oberon 1 going down to Lithgow Public 2, 28-24; Lithgow Public 1 having a massive win against Wallerawang 28-8; and a tie between St Pat's/Joey’s and St J Oberon 28 all.
Round two saw Wallerawang 1 tie with Oberon 1, 28 all; Lithgow 2 take down Portland Central School 32-8; Lithgow 1 had a big win against St Pat’s/Joey’s winning 28-8 while St J Oberon also had a big win against Oberon 2, 28-8.
Round three showed that the Richo Cup could go to anyone as Lithgow Public 2 scraped by with another win against Wallerawang 1, 24-20; Cooerwull lost their match against Portland going down by eight points in a close match 28-20; Lithgow Public 1 continued their winning ways against St J Oberon coming away 36-20; while Wallerawang 2 took on Oberon 2, 28-8.
Round four saw Wallerawang 1 take down Portland Central 20-12; Cooerwull won against Oberon 1, 32-24; while Lithgow Public 1 triumphed over Oberon 2, 20-8; and Wallerawang 2 and St Pat’s/Joey’s tied 16 all.
The last round before the finals had Cooerwull go down to Lithgow Public 2, 20-4, a close match occurred between Oberon 1 and Portland Central with Portland coming out on top 36-24; St J Oberon showed off their skills to win a 20-12 match against Wallerawang 2; and St Pat’s/Joey’s had a big win over Oberon 2, 32-4.
St J Oberon had a shock win over Lithgow Public 2, 20-8; but Lithgow Public 1 kept their hopes alive by overcoming Wallerawang 1, 28-12. In the final for the Richardson cup Lithgow 1 showed what they were made of as they took on St J Oberon and walked off undefeated in a 24-4 battle.
The Peachy Shield was hotly contested as Wallerawang 1 started with a 32-8 win against Oberon 1; St Pat’s/Joey’s beat Portland Central 20-12; while Cooerwull and Wallerawang 3 had a draw 20 all; and St J Oberon went down to Oberon Public 28-24. Round two had St Pat’s/Joey’s go down 24-20 in a close match against Wallerawang 1; Portland Central and Lithgow 2 had a tie 12 all; Lithgow conquered over Wallerawang 32-8; and Cooerwull had a win against Oberon 36-24.
Round three was a strong one with Wallerawang 1 dominating over Portland Central 28-8; Oberon 1 had a good 20-12 win over Lithgow 2; while Wallerawang 2 inched out St J Oberon 24-20; and Lithgow once again showed strong skills winning 24-8 against Wallerawang.
Round four saw Wang 1 have a good win taking Lithgow 2 down 40-20; Oberon 1 went down 20-16 against St Pat’s/Joey’s; Cooerwull defeated Wallerawang 2, 32-12; and St J Oberon had the biggest win of the day taking down Lithgow 40-4.
The final round was a close one with Oberon 1 taking down Portland 24-20; St Pat’s/Joey’s beating Lithgow 28-4; and Wang overcoming Oberon 2, 32-16.
The semi-finals were one to watch as Wallerawang 1 went down to Cooerwull 32-12 and St Pat’s/Joey’s also went down to Lithgow 32-12.
Lithgow once again worked magic, taking a 28-12 win against Cooerwull.
