Wallerawang sports have mixed pennant’s results
The Wallerawang Community and Sports pennant sides had mixed results at the weekend. The fives took on Gulgong and came away with a good win.

The Craig Pugsley led team of Craig Brown Pommie Williams and Peter Piggott defeated Steve Dennis 29-13.
Ian McMillan’s team of Ian Pender, Jeff Howden and Daryl Archer defeated Lyn Grey 27-10 while Chris Neaves, Jim McMahon, Bruce Robinson and Peter Matchett defeated Jim Parkins 25-13.
This gave Wang an 81-39 for a ten nil win. It was interesting that none of The Wang ever trailed and all three teams won the ends 13-8.
Next week the fives play Lithgow City at Wang. The sixes had a harder day of it taking on the strong Portland club.
Kim Alexander Des Francis Tony Holden and Mick Milton took on Col Clarke’s team and after a great battle they lost the last four ends to go down 18-12.
Jason Nunan, Jed Fraser, Greg Hilliard and Peter Williams played well against Daryl Kirkwood but dropped too many multiples to go down 26-11.
The highlight for Wang was the team of Greg Anderson, Graham Haley, Greg Tilley and Ron Vidler who defeated Rob Luland 21-15 in a bit of a boil-over. Portland won 59 shots to Wang’s 44 for a 9-1 win.
Next week Wang are at home to Oberon with this game to start early so check the board please.
