The 12th edition of the masters saw Lithgow’s Michael Palmer in the pit crew crew for Tony Pallas in the team Jaguar XJS in the heritage touring car championship.
Also at the meeting was Lithgow’s Beach Thomas in his Chickadee chicken Toyota Celica running in the Master Blast hot laps.
The ex Paul Jones Bob Skelton Mazda RX7 owned by former Lidsdale resident Ron Horner was also on display.
Horner’s RX7 raced at the 1982 James Hardie Bathurst 1000.
Melbourne's Tony Alford stormed away in the trophy race in his GIO Nissan Skyline R32 to win the Heritage touring car race.
While David Wall did the same thing in the group NC touring car race driving a Ford Mustang, which the late Pete Geoghegan won five touring car championships in the 1960s.
Five Bathurst drivers participated at the meeting including Matthew Windsor, Bob Munday, Nathan Stevenson, Michael Anderson and Stewart Inwood.
