The “Action Attraction of the Central West” will kick off with the Daphne Blackley Memorial Meeting. No less than six open wheeler classes will be on show along with the usual highly entertaining tin top stock car classes.
The open wheeler program features magic Microsprints, Modlites, Compact Speedcars plus the huge step back to yesteryear with the Vintage Speedcars, Modifieds and Sprintcars.
Get your backside track side for almost five hours of speedway excitement at with over fifty events for the tin top stock cars and those very fast open wheelers.
The event is dedicated to the late Daphne Blackley, wife of long time president Ray, loving mother, grand mother and great grand mother, an amazing lady who loved and worked so hard for the speedway.
The stock car stars will be contesting the first round of their Portland Club Championship over three heats and a feature race – the sensational Street Stockers, Series Production class and Four Cylinders.
Junior racers including the new “all stars” (14-16 years) and “new stars” (10-13 years) ” will compete for their yearly point score.
Driving stars from Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Mudgee, Bathurst, Orange, Canberra, Blayney, Oberon, Dubbo, Gilgandra and Nowra will battle it out wheel to wheel on the oval track and you won't miss one second of the action – come on out and cheer your favorite driver to the chequered flag.
Full canteen facilities are always available at very pleasing prices so be ready for a full evening of inexpensive family entertainment commencing at 4pm at the raceway situated just off the Castlereagh Highway.
Spectators are also reminded that as a condition of entry, children must be supervised at all times.
