This year’s festival will take on a Haunted Circus theme including a few characters more familiarly seen in an old style American circus.
Let’s just hope there aren’t too many scary clowns coming our way.
One of Australia’s top MC’s Timothy Hyde has been recruited as the Haunted Circus ringmaster.
A veteran of circus, cabaret and magical performances around the world, Mr Hyde and has been tasked with keeping the fun rolling on into the night.
Main Street will be lined with a range of props adding to the old style American circus feel including distorted mirrors in Pioneer Park and a high striker, also known as a strength tester.
Roving entertainers including jugglers, magicians and Siamese twin acrobats will also show off to the crowds.
Businesses along Main Street have been encouraged to think about how they will decorate their shop fronts to act as the side show alley of the circus.

Lithgow City Council director of economic development and environment Andrew Muir said sponsorship was looking positive with the Lithgow Chamber of Commerce recently agreeing to sponsor the event.
Lithgow Halloween has also secured six weeks of advertising on Sydney trains travelling between Berowra and Penrith.
The night time entertainment will be kicked off around 6pm with the street parade beginning at the top of Main Street near Pioneer Park.
The Samba drumming band Samba Trombada will again lead the street parade and all individuals and groups are invited to participate.
