Lithgow Animal Shelter is always looking for responsible animal lovers to give homeless cats and dogs a new home.
Adopting a pet can be very rewarding, giving an animal a second chance and a new home. Lithgow Animal Shelter is always looking for caring and safe homes for cats and dogs.
These animals range in age from young puppies through to older animals, all with different needs. One thing they all need is love.
“I strongly urge local residents to think about adopting a cat or dog for their families before going out and buying a new one,” Lithgow City Council mayor Stephen Lesslie said.
“The perfect animal could be at the animal shelter already waiting for you.
“Without a new family, the future of a homeless animal can be bleak and adopting a pet can be very rewarding.”
The shelter is open Monday to Friday from 3pm-4pm for viewings. You can also visit council’s ‘Animal Shelter Facebook’ page for available adoptions, and lost animals. For further information please contact Council on 6354 9999 or via email at council@lithgow.nsw.gov.au.
