She recently marked 50 years in nursing and was congratulated on her milestone by Lithgow Hospital general manager Jill Marjoram and director of nursing Michael Puglisi.
Lynette started her career on May, 30 1967 at Bathurst Base Hospital.
She has spent almost all her career at Lithgow Hospital and has held a variety of roles including operating theatre nurse unit manager and emergency department nurse unit manager.
“Lynette is known by her colleagues for her capacity to always present a calm and caring manner in situations that present in a busy emergency department,” Ms Marjoram said.
