It will be a round that Lithgow golfer John Chadwick will remember for some time, highlighted by a hole in one on the second hole during Saturday’s two ball versus par.

It was Chadwick's first ‘ace’ in competition golf and it paved the way for an excellent round.
Chadwick teamed up with old soccer mate Chris Marjoram to also take out the two ball versus par event with a score of +12.
The two ball event was also the qualifying round for the state two ball championship.
The pair will now proceed to the next qualifying round for Blue Mountains golfers at Oberon.
The winner of this stage winners will go to the final.
Joining them were the other qualifiers Don Farnsworth and Gary Keen with the reserves being Troy Luka and Paul Bosman and the team of Geoff Wheeler and Greg Guest.
The runners up in the two ball were Pat Wall and Rod Clarke on +10 who chose not to enter the state competition.
Chadwick scooped the pool with his score +8 taking out the single event that was held in conjunction with the two ball.
The best grade scratch scores were: A Andrew Burton with a magnificent 68; B grade went to Travis Cameron 78 and C grade to Geoff Brooks 88.
Nearest the pins went to John Chadwick (hole in one), Andrew Burton (2), Rod Bright and Darren Hunter.
Balls in the ball competition went to those with +9 and better.
Friday comp: Winner Ray Thompson 28 points; runner up Dave Duroux 26 points; ball comp Dave Mays, Paul Stewart and Mark Pearce.
Coming up: This Saturday's event is one of the major events on the local golfing calendar, the Mt Piper Plate, which will be a stroke event.
