EARLIER: Donations poured in for Benjamin Seymour to shave his curly hair. As of Friday morning, March 17, the day of the great shave, he had raised $1150.
His school, Lithgow High School, was also raising funds, with a total expected in the high hundreds to be announced in the afternoon. Teachers raised funds to shave, while sausages were also sold for the cause.
Believe it or not, this is not the first time Ben has gone under the clippers for a good cause.
Inspired by his mother’s battle with breast cancer, which started when he was a toddler, Ben had his hair shaved 16 months ago.
That’s right – just one year and four months ago, Ben had no hair left.
That means we can all look forward to seeing more ‘fros go, and all in such a great cause.
