Teams from all across the Blue Mountains took part in the event and those who participated had a wonderful day.
Fourth place for the event was taken by Lawson Women’s Bowling Club, made up of Lyne Thorne, Chris Semmler and Ann Hindmarsh.
Third place was taken by Lithgow City, the team players being Kerri Bernard, Lyn Drury and Teresa Kellond.
Second was taken out by Lawson’s second women’s bowling team, with Mona Soergel, Patricia Houston and Mimi Coleman all representing.
First place went to Workies, made up of Jennie Obernier, Sue Metcalf and Wendy Constable.
The club would like to thank Klaus Fegebank from Higgins Lawyers for attending the post-event presentation and the firm for their sponsorship.
Lithgow City Women’s Bowling Club will be hosting their Gillard Day in early November, and hope all regular and potential players can make their way to the event.
The club is always welcoming to new players and with the weather warming up, what better way to spend your Tuesday?
Until their next event, social bowls are being held on Tuesday starting from 10am.
Anyone interested in playing can contact the club’s secretary, Lyn Bulkeley, on 6351 2732.
Get a group together for bowls, get the chance to meet new people and gather round for a great lunch afterwards.
