AFTER a good run of wins, the Workies first grade soccer side has registered two consecutive losses and have been working hard to pull themselves out of this mini slump.
In their last start, they went down to Bathurst CSU 4-2 and as was the case against Abercrombie they failed to take their chances when presented to them.
There is not much between winning and losing soccer matches and Workies have just been that little off in previous weeks, but are confident that they can get back on track and make it back to back premierships.
Scott Hookham and a big game scoring two goals and was one of his team's best along with Matt Nunan and Adam Gronlund.
Workies will be happy to be at home tomorrow when they take on Panorama Football Club at the Lithgow Greyhound track soccer ground and they will be keen to get back on the winners' list.
The club did not have much better luck in second or third grade going down making it another bad day for Workies.
The second grade side was particularly unlucky being edged out by CSU Bathurst White 3-2 in a game that was there for the taking.
Goals went to Chris Marjoram and Luke Skinner with both turning in good all round games.
They had good support from Jack Bilby, Hayden Ticehurst and Daniel Bosman.
The thirds made it a losing hat-trick when they went down 2-1 in another close match with Aaron Hatch the lone goal scorer.
They would like to thank all their valued sponsors and supporters and all three teams have been working hard during the week to turn their fortunes around – and the coaches say: “It all starts tomorrow.”
