In Lithgow there will be a dawn service in Elizabeth Park at 6am followed by breakfast at the Workmens Club.
The march from the memorial gates at the primary school to the park begins at 10.30 to be followed by the main 11am service.
To allow for the parade and uninterrupted service Main Street between Eskbank Street and Hassans Walls Road will be closed to traffic from 10.15 to 11.30am.
Lithgow stores will be closed until after the services but major retailers will be allowed to open in the afternoon.
There will be a recital of wartime-themed tunes on the war memorial organ in St Paul’s Anglican Church in Lithgow from 9am.
Wallerawang’s service at the memorial in Main Street begins at 9am following a march from the old goods shed which begins at 8.45.
Main Street will be closed to traffic from 8.15 to 10am.
Portland will be having its dawn service at 6am followed by the main commemoration at 11am.
This will mean the closure of Wolgan, Williwa, Lett and Vale Streets from 10.30 am to noon.
Council is advising motorists to seek alternative routes.
There are also dawn services at Tarana and Hampton followed by breakfast at the local hotels.
Hampton’s memorial is in the bush beside the Caves Road at Lowther; Tarana’s is adjacent to the road through the village.
Rydal will have its village service at the showground memorial gates at 2.30 followed by afternoon tea.
