TORONTO Private Hospital is hosting an art show that encourages people affected by mental illness to focus on what inspires them. The Inspiration Art Show is part of the hospital's Mental Health Week celebrations. Toronto Private Hospital chief executive Andrew Mereau has seen the achievements of patients who attend the hospital's therapy classes and wants to offer this therapy to the wider community. "Self-exploration through creative expression often leads people to insightful conclusions about themselves," Mr Mereau said. The exhibition will open for public display from 2pm to 3pm on Thursday, October 8. The winner, selected by a member of the local art community and a representative from Toronto Private Hospital, will receive $300. There is also a people's choice award valued at $300. Entries close on October 2. For an entry form or to RSVP to the exhibition email Rebecca.Brennan@healthecare.com.au.
