Your new company
This well-established government department are looking for a competent Administrator to support their Workforce team in their day to day functioning, as well as providing project-related support for a contract until June, with potential for extension.

Your new role
As an administrator, the focus of your role will be to support the delivery of the service catalogue by utilising data, insights, trends and operational knowledge to provide high quality scheduling, rostering, reporting and modelling of current and future resource allocation in maximising the effective and efficient use of the workforce against key performance metrics. This role is very diverse and will keep you engaged, with duties including:

  • Supporting the effective delivery of the service catalogue by delivering data, capacity modelling, rostering and scheduling patterns to inform workforce plans and projections to enable teams to be adequately resourced to achieve targets, service level standards and performance metrics
  • Assisting in identifying gaps in resourcing requirements and provide recommended strategies on how these can be addressed whilst supporting operational efficiencies and improvements.
  • Supporting in coordinating the notification, scheduling and monitoring of planned and unplanned staff leave to ensure that resource capacity is maintained, and resources are shifted effectively
  • Effectively schedule and roster for required offline activities including training, coaching, capability uplift and operational meetings to ensure teams are resourced effectively to maintain service level standards and ensure this is adequately represented in shrinkage rates used in capacity modelling activities

What you'll need to succeed

  • Possess your own laptop you are happy to utilise for this role
  • Be able to start at short notice and commit to an assignment to June, with potential for extension
  • Be tech-savvy and confident navigating between multiple systems at a time, particularly excel and databases
  • Have strong attention to details skills and a proactive nature
  • Approachable with great interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and emphatically
  • Deadline driven with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload

What you'll get in return
You will be working for a reputable government organisation in a supportive environment. Their offices are based in a number of locations and they are happy for you to select the most convenient for you to be based at – it will be either Ultimo, St Leonards, Port Macquarie, Kingscliff or Coffs Harbour, depending on your choice. This role is initially until June, with potential for extension, paying $43.00 - $55.00 per hour + super. It is looking to commence on short notice
