Your new role

Due to an internal shift, there exists a permanent or temporary contract opportunity for a Payroll Officer based in Melbourne's Northern suburbs. This role is very much long-term, though ideally they would have someone join temporarily for a few weeks to settle into the position before shifting to permanency. This role will involve:

• Individually, undertake weekly Payroll for 200+ employees;
• Create new employee files, update systems and ensure accurate and timely pay is processed in a complex environment;
• Deal with external clients for timesheet and pay issues.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience within Payroll, with a core understanding of Tax, Super and more;
• The ability to hit the ground running and process complex Payroll items with minimal support;
• Excellent communication ability, being able to work with a range of stakeholders when required with a requirement to call when there are issues.

• Commence immediately on a great hourly rate;
• This is a temporary to permanent position, settle into a contract before shifting to a permanent position once you've proven your ability;
• Working mostly from home, this role would shift back to a hybrid model in the future with a requirement to attend the office on Payroll days in the future.
