Maintenance Electrician

Your new company
Working for a global FMCG manufacturer in the Blacktown Region of Sydney. You will be working as part of a Maintenance team across one of the three shifts on this 24/7 manufacturing facility.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair for all site electrical and control systems. Across the multiple production lines on site. In addition to this you will:

• Effectively prioritise activities, priorities breakdowns and pro-active maintenance
• Manage contractors on site
• Collaborate with maintenance fitters to fault find, diagnose and restore performance of production lines, packing equipment and factory or facility equipment
• Action mechanical work such as machine product changes, if and when required
• Advise on opportunities for improved operational efficiencies and ways to continuously improve our ways of operating.

What you'll need to succeed
Prior experience as a Maintenance Electrician is essential and you will be able to demonstrate excellent experience working closely with other team members. You will also have:

• NSW Electrical Licence
• Proven diagnostic, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Experience with fixed plant electrical and engineering maintenance practices
• Sound computer skills including PLCs, SCADA, and CMMS systems
• Confidence to work autonomously as well as within a team
• Ability to modify, replace and commission electrical equipment within a FMCG environment
• Extensive knowledge about fillers, closers, packaging equipment, palletisers, and conveyor systems
• Experience with automation or robotics
• Have full Australian working rights and living in Sydney
