Environmental Consultant - Contaminated Land

Consultant / Engineer / Scientist in Contaminated Land  to join the Sydney office of an Environmental Consultancy who firmly believe in giving their consultants as much freedom as possible – allowing them to follow their noses when it comes to client acquisition (no toeing the company line or only servicing existing clients) and not pigeonholing staff to any type of work / project. 

The result is a firm whose ranks have swelled quickly – particularly with ex-top-tier profiles who wanted to move away from corporate micromanagement & client infighting. A Principal describes this…

Projects at this consultancy look like… 

• Major Projects like Motorways, Airports, Metro & Tunnels.
• Multidisciplinary consultancy - exposure to EIS and mining work interstate
• Focus on infrastructure on behalf of constructors along with top-tier property portfolio firms handling:
  • Contaminated sites & groundwater hydrogeology
  • Construction / development discharge
  • Tunnelling, seepage, boring water
  • Supporting EIS work and mid-tier miners
• Contaminated sites & groundwater hydrogeology.

The Consultancy: 

Based predominantly on the East Coast they’re nearing the 50 staff mark which includes Auditors & leaders who’ve come across from the likes of SKM, Greencap, Jacobs & Aurecon. They have big (and very realistic) growth plans for 2022 / 2023 including growing their fledgling Planning division and are already well on track. 

This role is based from the Sydney CBD with the flexibility to split your time between the office & home. Ideally, they are looking for someone in that 1-5 years’ experience pocket.

 Experience:

• Ideally they’re seeking someone at the 1-5 year CLM experience mark (though they will consider profiles outside of this range).
• $70,000 - $115,000 neg on experience.
