Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse ready to undertake this key leadership role? The After Hours Hospital Coordinator is a pivotal member of the health care team providing after hours' leadership and management of the nursing team and hospital.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled, motivated senior nurse to join our After Hours Management team. You will be passionate about leading a team of highly trained staff. We specialise in fostering a dynamic, team-based environment, which is reflected in the best clinical care and warm caring environment

As the After Hours Hospital Coordinator you will:

• Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
• Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and heads of departments
• Ensure all areas are staffed according to patient acuity and appropriate skill mix
• Coordinate patient admissions
• Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff
• Manage multiple tasks and allocate resources appropriately

Nepean Private Hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care beds.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Current unconditional AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Recent experience with the coordination and allocation of human resources
• A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office
• Excellent strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem solving and decision making abilities to ensure excellence in patient cantered care and customer service
• Be a role model for safe practice and commitment to quality patient care
• Understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards
• Well-developed leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of a multi-disciplinary workforce
• The ability to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with clients, their families and colleagues
• The ability to manage special projects and selected portfolios
• Current Advanced Life Support Certification or willingness to obtain
