Senior Assistant Superintendent Arthur Wright said it was important for all Australians to remember the day and celebrate the freedom that our Anzacs provided.
"It is particularly relevant in our line of employment because a high number of employees have military backgrounds," he said.
Staff members offered to help run the ceremony by raising the flags.
"One of our employees donated their time to create a beautiful wreath for our ceremony," he said.
The ceremony took place outside the correctional centre near the Remembrance Wall that is dedicated to employees who have passed away.
Reverend and Anglican Chaplain Mark Muss and Catholic Chaplain Geraldine Bowes ran the service.
"It was quite a nice service, the appreciation we received last year from the employees made us want to come back this year," Reverend Mark Muss said.
"Many said that if they weren't working they would be in the community at a service so they were happy to have one at work.
"It does mean a lot to people in community service occupations."
