The United Hospital Auxiliaries of NSW held a Central West Zone day at the Lithgow and District Workmen's Club on Thursday, March 15.

This gave a chance for representatives from the auxiliaries around the Central West to come together to discuss ideas for the hospital.
“It’s a time of empowerment, innovation of ideas and clearly an opportunity of defining direction for our fundraising,” State President Linda Swales said.
“Auxiliaries help people and I really admire and appreciate what they are doing,” Lithgow Mayor Stephen Lesslie said.
Guest speaker Associate Professor Doctor John Dearin took questions from the crowd about his opinion on a number of issues such as EHealth and medicinal cannabis.
Lithgow Auxiliary spoke of how membership numbers have suffered in 2017 but now they have a total of six new ladies who will be starting this year.
“They are hard workers with big hearts,” Ms Swales said.
