She will be representing Lithgow at the Zone 5 competition, hosted by Singleton Show Society, on February 24 after the withdrawal of Lithgow’s Showgirl and runner-up.

Stacey, who taught Technical and Applied Science at Wellington and Maitland before her appointment to Lithgow, is a relative newcomer to the community but has made herself at home, volunteering for disability programs and riding in stock horse competitions around NSW.
“We believe, due to her background in community work and commitment to quality education for rural and remote communities, she is an excellent choice,” Ms Coleman said.

“It is not a beauty contest, it’s much more rounded than that, it’s about personality and community involvement,” Ms Coleman said.
Young women aged 18-24 are welcome to apply. The winner will be announced at the Lithgow Show on March 17.
