Paramedics from Lithgow arrived on the scene at 8.30am on Sunday morning to find the car containing six passengers, two adults and four children, in a rolled car.
The child who was airlifted is in a serious but stable condition.
A 33-year-old woman was taken to Nepean hospital in a road ambulance for treatment to head and shoulder injuries.
She is also in a serious but stable condition.
The 31-year-old man and three remaining children were taken to Lithgow hospital in a road ambulance for treatment for minor injuries.
