Marking the last day before Lent (starting on Ash Wednesday), Shrove Tuesday was an traditionally an opportunity to clear out your cupboard of sugar, fats and eggs in order to prepare for the period of abstinence in the lead-up to Easter.
St Patrick’s Primary School marked the day with a pancake morning tea hosted at the school. The canteen cooked up the tasty treats.
