The Wallerawang Community and Sports club major singles and club pairs are in full swing with the pairs up to the quarterfinal stage.

In the latest games Greg Anderson and Daryl Archer combined in great style to defeat Daryl McSorley and graham Haley (sub) 24-11.

Steve Jackson and Kim Alexander defeated Greg Tilley and Dick Bulkeley 25-9.

The two Craig’s, Brown and Pugsley, defeated the Tony’s, MCSorley and Holden 30-7.

Greg Hilliard and Tiger Feltham had a shocker as they went down 30-3 against Peter Williams and Sub Barry Jackson.

Ian Pender and Peter Piggott were in red-hot form as they lead Chris Neaves and Jim McMahon 30-7 when the mercy rule was applied.

In the upset of the round former winners Ian McMillan and Bruce Robinson were bundled out by Jason Nunan and Jed Fraser who took out the game 26-16.        

In the singles Steve Jackson beat Ian McMillan 31-22. Mike McNamara defeated Chris Neaves 31-25.

Mike then backed up to defeat Bruce Robinson 31-24. Craig Brown beat Ted Doggett 31-20.

Peter Piggott was in good touch defeating Des Francis 33-18.

His pairs partner Ian Pender is also going well defeating Darryl McSorley 31-14.

Craig Pugsley beat Ian McManus 31-12.

Geoff Flynn let his large group of followers down when he was beaten 31-29 by Jeff Howden.

We have sheets on the board for pennant names for the coming season.

We need a lot more players if we are to compete this year.

The Thursday night Turnabout Triples are on this week.

All players are welcome to play in this event just get in touch with the club or Pommie and we will arrange a game for you.

Names should be in by 4.30pm for a 5pm start.

Twilight Bowls

Every Thursday night from October to March from 5pm.

The format is triples, however each team may have up to five players (two reserves).

Bowlers are to wear mufti clothes, club colours not required. Contact the Club for more information.
