The NSW RFS issued the warning ahead of forecast hot and windy conditions.
A ban has also been declared for the Greater Hunter, North Western, Northern Slopes and Southern Ranges regions.
Under severe and very high fire conditions residents are asked to prepare their home so they can actively defend it against fire, follow their Bush Fire Survival Plan and remain vigilant and keep informed during the day by monitoring media outlets and www.rfs.nsw.gov.au.
No fires may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended during a Total Fire Ban. Gas and electric barbeques may be used provided certain conditions are met.
