The club wished to thank Mr Thomas for the many improvements he had made around Lithgow’s courts.
“Lithgow City Tennis Club members would like to thank Kevin for his commitment and years of hard work at the club. We will miss seeing Kevin, and his dog Rusty, around the courts and hope Kevin and his wife Norma enjoy their retirement,” secretary Janene Graham said.
“Apart from keeping our courts tidy and well kept, Kevin has upgraded the grounds over the years by laying pavers, planting out gardens and repairing everything and anything that needed fixing.”
Bruce and Sam Shadbolt will be taking over the club's caretaker role.
“Bruce and Sam are current members of LCTC and we thank them for taking on the role of keeping our courts in tip top condition,” Ms Graham said.
The club’s mid-week ladies competition begins on Thursday, February 1 at 9.30am.
